How to choose an L-shape sofa
Get the size and orientation right. Before you order, measure your room and tape the sofa’s footprint on the floor — both the long run and the short return. Leave roughly 80–90 cm to walk through the main path and about 40 cm between the seat and your coffee table. As a rule of thumb, the longest side of the sofa should be about two-thirds the length of the wall it sits against.
Left-facing or right-facing? Stand where you’ll enter the room and face the sofa’s spot. If the long section (the chaise) should extend to your left, you need a left-facing L-shape; to your right, a right-facing one.
