How to choose an L-shape sofa
Get the size and orientation right. Before you order, measure your room and tape the sofa’s footprint on the floor — both the long run and the short return. Leave roughly 80–90 cm to walk through the main path and about 40 cm between the seat and your coffee table. As a rule of thumb, the longest side of the sofa should be about two-thirds the length of the wall it sits against.
Left-facing or right-facing? Stand where you’ll enter the room and face the sofa’s spot. If the long section (the chaise) should extend to your left, you need a left-facing L-shape; to your right, a right-facing one. Put the short return on the side that keeps your walkway open, and let the long side face your TV or window. Not sure? Because we build to order, we can make it either way — just tell us.
Pick a configuration for how you live. A 3-seater chaise suits compact apartments; a 5–7 seater sectional suits families and entertaining. Add storage under the chaise for small spaces, an ottoman for flexible seating, or a sofa-bed function for hosting guests. Modular designs can be rearranged later if you move. Choose fabric for your household. For homes with kids or pets, pick tighter-weave, easy-clean fabrics and mid-tone colours that hide everyday marks. Lighter shades look stunning but need more care. We’ll show you swatches before we build.

L-shape sofa FAQs
How much does an L-shape sofa cost in Kenya?
Our L-shape and corner sofas start from KSh 45,000 for ready-made designs. Larger 6–7 seater sectionals and premium fabrics cost more; custom builds are quoted to your size and materials. Message us on WhatsApp for an exact price.
Can you build an L-shape sofa to fit my room?
Yes — every sofa is built in our Ngara workshop, so we can match your exact dimensions, choose left- or right-facing orientation, and use your preferred fabric and colour. Send your measurements or a photo of the space and we’ll advise.
How long does delivery take?
Ready-made pieces are delivered within days. Custom L-shape sofas are built in about 3–4 days, then delivered. Delivery is free within Nairobi; nationwide delivery is available at a small fee.
What’s the difference between a left-facing and right-facing L-shape sofa?
Stand facing where the sofa will go: if the long chaise section extends to your left, it’s left-facing; to your right, it’s right-facing. Pick the one that keeps your walkway clear. Because we build to order, we can make either.
Which fabric is best for a family with kids or pets?
Choose a tighter-weave, easy-clean fabric in a mid-tone colour — it resists stains and hides everyday marks. We’ll show you durable options and swatches before building.
How do I order and pay?
Tap “Order on WhatsApp” on any sofa and we’ll confirm price, fabric and delivery. Pay conveniently with M-Pesa (Lipa na M-Pesa), with pay-on-delivery available within Nairobi on selected items.
